The work Wrexham Football Club have done to improve access to their stadium has been recognised in a Commons report.

The Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee -; which I serve on -; released the report today.

You can see it here:

Wrexham and its Disabled Supporters’ Association have shown the way forward for clubs in making their grounds accessible. Organisations such as Level Playing Field note the excellent work the club has done in their evidence to the report-; and the club was even cited by the Minister for Disabled People in his evidence as having inspired the work of his local club to include supporters.

Sadly, the excellent work being done at Wrexham is not being followed across the country and our report contains evidence that Premier League clubs -; who should be leading on this issue -; are failing their supporters.

The report notes that it is in the interests of these clubs to make their matches accessible to their supporters -; supporters who love their sports and who are not asking for vast, expensive changes.

Those supporters deserve to see action and our report notes that the Equality and Human Rights Commission are considering legal action against those clubs failing their supporters -; something which we support.
