I am standing as the Labour candidate for Wrexham on June 8 and I’d like your support to continue speaking up for our area.
In the General Election in 2015, I made a series of pledges to the people of Wrexham.
A pledge to put Wrexham first, a promise kept. I will always give Wrexham my full and undivided attention.
A pledge to fight for well-paid jobs for Wrexham, a promise kept. I have worked to help Wrexham companies grow and fought to keep jobs in our local water company and tax office – while the Tory Government stood by, or worse, proposed taking jobs away from us.
A pledge to fight for better wages for Wrexham, a promise kept. I’ve pushed the Government for action and worked with local companies to boost wages.
A pledge to stand up for Wrexham people, a promise kept. I campaigned for women born in the 1950s denied pension equality, argued against cruel benefit cuts in Parliament and helped people with disabilities get the support they need to live independent lives.
A pledge to boost transport and communication links for our town, a promise kept. We’ve secured a new rail service to Manchester Airport, fibre broadband for 24,000 Wrexham homes and better local mobile coverage.
Now, we must do more and continue to stand up for the best for our town.
I’ll stand up for a better Brexit -; protecting Wrexham’s jobs, businesses and people.
I’ll stand up for safer streets -; there is a crisis on our streets and in our town centre caused by Conservative cuts, I’ll push for a new police officer in each of our communities.
I’ll stand up for stronger links for our town -; building on Wrexham’s success securing broadband and rail links and ensuring more investment for road, rail and bus services.
I’ll stand up for our communities -; working with our university, college and schools to boost our creative sector and keep working in our area to organise festivals and fun days.
I’ll stand up for Wrexham – I always have and I always will. We must talk up our town – Wrexham is a great place to live, prosper and do business.
On June 8, vote for me -; and let’s build a better Wrexham together.
