Christmas Park event returns!

A CHRISTMAS event will return to Rhosddu Park later this week.

The Carols in the Park event will be held on Friday 22 December between 4.30pm and 6pm, will feature carols at 5pm, a live nativity, Father Christmas and free refreshments. I’ve organised it wth the Salvation Army, North Wales Police, St James’ Church, the Community Church, AVOW, Rhosddu Community Council and the local Spar store.

People are advised to bring a torch and umbrella and to wrap up warm. In the event of wet weather, the event will be held indoors at the Salvation Army building on Garden Road.

The park event was very popular last year and I know people will be pleased that it is back.

It is a real community event, which brings together groups from around the area and which helps to mark Christmas by bringing people together to enjoy their local park.

I’d like to thank all of those community groups and businesses who have helped to organise the event – it is going to be a great way to kick off Christmas this year.
