Development Bank is a vote of confidence

A WELSH Government investment in Wrexham is a huge boost for our town.IL_Giles.jpg

Today, the Welsh Government announced a lease has been signed for the Development Bank of Wales’ premises, which will be on Ellice Way. The bank – which helps Welsh Businesses get the money they need to start up, develop, and grow – will be based in the town thanks to the Labour Welsh Government's decision to bring it to our area.

The excellent news that a lease has been signed  is a huge vote of confidence in the town.

This is a major investment in the public sector in Wales, and it has been chosen by the Welsh Government to be based specifically in North Wales.

The Bank will play a huge role in helping to develop the economy of Wales, and it will doing so from Wrexham. Thanks to the Welsh Government, our town will be a key player in developing Wales’ businesses and helping the country thrive.

We already have some world-beating business here in the finance and service sectors, and this investment confirms our region as a key place to do business. It is another crucial step in equipping our region, our businesses and our people for the 21st century.
