Listen to Dee Valley Staff

I have told regulators that they need to listen to the views of staff over the future of Dee Valley Water.

You can see those views here: https://www.deevalleywater.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Proposed-acquisition-of-Dee-Valley-Group-plc-by-Severn-Trent-Water-Limited.pdf

Along with other local politicians, I have co-signed a letter to the Competition and Markets Authority on the issue as well.

We have been saying since these takeover proposals were announced that they were not welcomed by staff. That message has come across loud and clear in the letters we have received, it has come across loud in clear in what staff and unions have said when we met them – and now it has come across loud and clear in this staff submission.

The staff at Dee Valley Water have served their company and their customers well. They are making quite clear their opposition to the proposed takeover by Severn Trent and the Competition and Markets Authority should pay very close attention to what they say.
