WASPI – Women Against State Pension Inequality – are campaigning for the Government to take action to help the thousands of women affected by changes to the state pension. The changes mean that a group of women born in certain years will have their pension plans scuppered when women and men have their retirement age equalised by 2020. Women who had planned to retire at 60 now face a longer working life – or a reduced pension.
Campaigners want the Government to consider transitional arrangements to help those women who will miss out because of the changes.
I have been working with women affected in Wrexham and has taken their case to Parliament. If you’d like to back our campaign and hear more about what I've been doing, sign up below.
